Eggs & Berries is an American dining concept place at Westgate Mall in Jurong. This is their second outlet, their first being at Changi City Point. If you’re looking for a nice place for brunch or eggs while shopping at Westgate, you should head down to Eggs & Berries for an affordable meal.

Aesthetic
The whole look of Eggs & Berries is very fun and quirky. Bright colors are used for their seatings, light wood for furniture and walls. The design is very simple, yet very quaint. Pictures of their food are displayed on the wall. It’s a great place for families and kids to have a meal, you get a really warm feeling at Eggs & Berries. I personally like their name design, both the colors & font used make it very elegant & appealing to the eye. The decor here is very different from its Changi City Point counterpart, it seems more open and fun here. (I was quite intimidated by their outlet at Changi City Point and also did not know what food they were selling there at that point of time.)

The place is actually quite small, with the majority of their seatings right outside their entrance. This entire part of the mall is open-air, so you get to enjoy the weather when it’s cool (or hot). There is some seats on the inside, mostly diner booth seats for bigger groups of people. The place allows lots of Sunlight in, which is great for photo-taking or just enjoying the view of the surroundings.

Food
If you haven’t figured out by now, most of the dishes on the menu of Eggs & Berries literally has either eggs OR berries. If you are craving for eggs, this place is heaven. You can get to enjoy having your eggs done in numerous ways, from poached, to sous-vide. The food is pretty good and the presentation is also superb. Most of the dishes also doesn’t exceed the $18 mark (with a few exceptions), so it’s a great place for an affordable brunch.

Italia Eggs Benedict Doppio ($18.90) Hollandaise, English Muffin, Prosciutto Parma Ham, Avruga Cavier, Rosti This was quite delicious. I'm always of a fan of Prosciutto and the cavier was an added bonus. If you're not feeling that hungry, this is also available "Solo", which is a single benedict. I felt the rosti tasted a bit weird though, still preferred the one at Marché or Ambush.

Eggs & Berries Eggs Benedict Solo ($12.90) Hollandaise, English Muffin, Bacon, Honey Ham, Rosti Like I mentioned above, if you're not that hungry, you can opt for the "Solo". This is a tad different from the Italia Eggs Benedict. The eggs here are done Sous-vide instead of poached, so you get the same runny yolk. I did find the eggs somewhat different though as it was sous-vide. Still good anyhow.

Aglio Olio King River Prawn ($19.90) Pasta, King River Prawn, Wild Mushrooms, Onions, Bacon, Melted Cheese, Poached Egg This is a MUST-try at Eggs & Berries. When it first arrived, my companion and I thought the prawn was a lobster (that was how big it was). The taste of the pasta is definitely different from the usual Aglio Olio I've tried. It gets better after the first bite. The egg, however, was a bit too well-done here.

Mango Tango ($16.90) Pancakes, Mango, Macadamia Nuts, Chocolate Chips, Rainbow Sprinkles, Whipped Cream Every table at Eggs & Berries has 3 syrup jars that you can use to your heart's content. (Maple, Strawberry, Chocolate) The presentation of the pancakes were great. The pancakes also tasted pretty good.

Apart from it's extremely cute presentation, the crème brûlée was top-notch. It was kinda small, but for $4.90, I think it was just right. Perhaps one person should get two?
