The famous blue warehouse door. An Instagram favourite.
Wheeler’s Yard has been dubbed as one of Singapore’s coolest cafes. Why? Take a look at the place and you’ll understand why. Housed in an industrial warehouse building, Wheeler’s is a cafe with an in-house bicycle atelier. (Or is that the other way around?)

Interior of Wheeler’s Yard. The workshop space. Look at all those urban, vintage bicycles. They are even for sale.
As anyone who has visited Wheeler’s Yard, you would be in awe of the huge open space that houses the workshop and even seats for the cafe. Vintage/Urban bicycles are the main eye-catching decor. They are everywhere, including the cafe area where bicycles are placed on top of tabletops.

The counter space of the cafe. The wall decor is pretty neat.
Food menu of Wheeler’s Yard.
To be brutally honest, the food of Wheeler’s Yard is nothing to talk about. Most of the food served are pretty average. Some were hits, some were misses. The only upside is that this place has no service charge or GST.
Portobello Au Gratin ($12.90)
A giant Portobello mushroom with mozzarella, sauteed bacon & a side of salad and fries
This was pretty good, and probably one of the only unique dishes from Wheeler’s.
Spaghetti Carbonara ($14.90)
Bacon, Onions, Light Cream Sauce
I’ve had lots of Carbonara, this wasn’t the best I’ve had, but not the worst either.
Big Breakfast ($16.90)
Wholemeal toast, Sunny side-ups, Bacon, Hash brown, Beans, Garden Salad, Chicken Sausages
The price is probably a tad steep for this dish, considering you can make it at home yourself.
Hot Chocolate with old school biscuits ($6)
Full and rich of chocolate flavour, this was good. The biscuits were a nice nostalgic touch.
Bir Stewart’s Cream Soda ($3.90)
I was actually looking for their Red Velvet cupcakes after reading good reviews for it. However, they only had the Carrot Cupcake. It was good though, quite moist & the icing on top was just right. Would love to try the Red Velvet some other time.
Can’t exactly remember what went into this, but it was basically an Oat Bar with Nutella in-between. It was actually pretty delicious considering how simple it seemed.
Worth A Visit/Revisit?
If you haven’t been to Wheeler’s Yard yet, I do recommend it. The space is just fantastic. Great for people who are (pardon the saying) cam-whores. It’s also a great hangout spot for a group of friends. I would definitely go back again, to try more of their food and to take in the sights again.
